LIVE COMPETITION
The new cake competition in front of an audience.
On Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., you can experience an exciting new Live Competition at CAKE & BAKE. In this unique event, five teams, each consisting of five people, will put their talent and team spirit to the test and they can win 150 EUR togehter.
The challenge: to create a cake that represents the world of cake design within three hours. Each team can be creative and use all techniques and edible materials to represent their vision of cake design.
CAKE & BAKE will provide all participants with the necessary materials for their creations. The teams only need to bring their concept, their designs and their own tools such as rolling pins, silicone mats and brushes. The only rule is that there are no rules! Everyone is invited to develop their creativity freely.
A special feature of this competition: the audience at the fair acts as a jury. The visitors decide which team wins the competition. In addition to the exciting live performance, the event will be accompanied by Margherita Ferrara and other renowned artists from the Cake Academy, who will support and advise the participants during the three hours.

Each team will be provided with a table, 4 round dummies (30 x 10 cm, 25 x 10 cm, 15 x 10 cm plus 35 x 3 cm), fondant, modeling paste, colors (gel and powder colors) in primary color elements, art gel. If a team decides to use other edible elements, they are welcome to take these with them. The same applies to tools, which may also be taken along. Other non-edible elements are not permitted.
Voting & award ceremony:
The cakes created will be on display in the Live Competition area until the awards ceremony on Sunday at 2pm, with the public able to vote both during the live show and afterwards. The motto of the competition is "fun and creativity".
The winning team will receive 150 EUR, which will be transferred to one person from the team after the show.
