Attractions at the international CAKE & BAKE show at Messe Dortmund on 18 and 19 March 2023 will include Germany's largest cake competition (open to both amateurs and professionals). Hundreds of participants' own creations are to be judged by a highly respected panel of experts. Visitors will also have a unique opportunity to meet all ten participants in the SAT.1 bake-off show 'Das große Backen' as well as famous cake creators and icing decorators, and talk with them in person.

Dortmund, 24 November 2022 – The whole world of baking is set to descend on Dortmund on 18 and 19 March 2023 as CAKE & BAKE, the international cake show and Germany's largest cake design fair opens to the public at Messe Dortmund. The cherry on top, so to speak, will be the opportunity for amateur and professional baking enthusiasts to compete with each other in Germany's biggest cake competition comprising a total of 19 categories! Professionals, participants and bake-off celebrities live at the venue

Renowned professional bakers, cake designers and icing artists will be featured at CAKE & BAKE on the Main Stage or at their own stands. Various big names from the scene will be there, including cake artist Sophia Fox from Portugal and royal icing specialist Marta Torres. Kristina Rado from Hungary, a leading light in the world of royal icing, will be demonstrating her skills and knowledge along with Marta Hidalgo from Spain, a maestro in modelling faces. They are all part of the 'Bake Academy' where Italian cake artist Margherita Ferrara will be holding CAKE & BAKE masterclasses and demonstrations. Other famous artists will be Belinda Lucidi and Tissi Benvagna from Italy.

Also in attendance will be all the participants (including the winner) of SAT.1 TV bake-off show 'Das große Backen'. Fans of this popular show will have the opportunity to meet the participants as well as finalists Christa Gehring and Caterina Barretta, and the competition's winner, Raheem Haidar. None of them wanted to miss out on participating and meeting the fans in person at CAKE & BAKE.

CAKE & BAKE will now be held in Dortmund once a year at the same time as CREATIVA. The
