  • Category A: Wedding Cake, Theme: Wedding Dress

Show us your dream wedding dress with this wedding cake. The wedding dress represents elegance and beauty and should emphasize the bride's uniqueness. Enchant us with different cuts and styles. Think about different fabrics, patterns, and elements. Each tier can represent a different part of the dress – from the bodice and waist to the full skirt. Be inspired by the diverse dress styles: from the romantic princess dress with a full tulle skirt to the elegant A-line and the modern fit-and-flare silhouette. A minimum of three tiers is required. The individual tiers must be clearly visible and covered with an edible material. The tiers must be classic round, square, or rectangular. Internal supports are permitted for your decorations. For sugar flowers and wafer paper flowers, paper-covered floral wire, artificial stamens, cones/balls, and florist's tape are permitted. Base area: max. 60 x 60 cm. Dummies permitted.

  • Category B: Beginner - Topic: School Introduction

Beginners include participants with less than two years of experience in cake and sugar art, who have never participated in a competition – either online or in person. Please note that if it subsequently turns out that these points were not met, they will be disqualified and excluded from future competitions. The first day of school is a day full of anticipation, excitement, and anticipation for the children and, of course, the parents, because a new phase of life begins. Hooray, I'm a schoolchild – with a school bag and a colorful cone of sugar. Think of everything that makes starting school special. A new dress, new shoes or new pants and sweater, plus all the new things like colored pencils, rulers, pens, books, notebooks with ABC and 123, blackboards, gym bags, pencil cases, but also balloons, gifts, and coffee with the whole family and friends. A day to remember forever – that's exactly what the cake should be like. Make children's eyes light up (and ours too). A single-tiered themed cake is required. Internal supports are permitted for your decorations. For sugar flowers and wafer paper flowers, paper-covered floral wire, artificial stamens, cones/balls, and florist's tape are permitted. Base size: max. 30 x 30 cm. Dummy cakes are permitted.

  • Category C: One-tiered themed cake - Theme: Picnic

A picnic means good cheer, sunshine, fun and games, and time spent together – whether in a park, by a lake, in the garden, or on a meadow. Pure joy and enjoyment for family, friends, or just the two of you. Blankets, baskets, and light, portable snacks like sandwiches, fruit, salads, cakes, or finger foods are classic staples. Often complemented by drinks like lemonade, iced tea, or wine, a relaxed atmosphere is created. The themed cake must be covered with edible material. The tiered cake must be traditionally round, square, or rectangular. Internal supports are permitted for your decorations. For sugar flowers and wafer paper flowers, paper-covered floral wire, artificial stamens and cones/balls, and florist's tape are permitted. Base area: max. 30 x 30 cm. Dummy permitted.

Café Paris is a symbol of enjoyment, style, and the special flair of the French capital. • Category H: Large decorative element, Theme: urban jungle

Imagine the big city is a vast, living jungle, where buildings rise into the sky like ancient trees. The streets are narrow paths that wind through the green canopy of neon lights and colorful signs. Everywhere there is a buzzing and humming, like the rustling of leaves in the wind, only louder and full of energy. People scurry from branch to branch like nimble monkeys, each in search of their next adventure. Hidden between the skyscrapers are small oases – cafés, markets, and hidden squares where you can take a short breather. The urban jungle is wild, colorful, and full of surprises. Take us on your journey through this urban thicket to discover a world full of life, diversity, and endless possibilities. Recreate your urban jungle with buildings, objects, figures, and plants, using isomalt, modeling paste, modeling chocolate, royal icing, wafer paper, etc. Internal supports are permitted for your decorations. • Category I: Painted cake, Theme: Your home

Home means security, connection, and memories. It is the region, country, or city where they grew up. But home isn't just the past. It evolves with you. New people, experiences, and places can become a part of your home over time. Especially in a globalized world where many people move or experience multiple cultures, home can have multiple meanings. Home doesn't mean stagnation, but rather a place you can take anywhere, as long as you feel accepted and a piece of your own history resonates with it. Take us on a journey to your homeland, show us typical traditions, the culture, special places, or even the way of life. The cake must have at least two visibly stacked tiers. Any edible medium can be used. Your chosen motif must be painted by hand or airbrush directly onto the cake. Alternatively, you can paint on a fondant topper, which is applied to the cake. However, please be aware that painting directly onto the cake is of a higher quality. The use of stencils is generally permitted, but the stencil design must not dominate your main hand-painted design. Photo prints are not permitted. All exterior decorations must be fully edible and may not contain any internal supports. For sugar flowers and wafer paper flowers, paper-covered floral wire, artificial stamens and cones/balls, and florist's tape are permitted. Base area: max. 40 x 40 cm. Dummies permitted.

  • Category J: Relief/ 2D Image, Theme: freely selectable

The relief/2D image can be created on a plate (cakeboard, KAPA plate, pastillage, wooden plate), which is then covered with fondant. The relief/2D image does not need a frame, but the side edges must be covered with an edible material. Ensure that the back is clean. A variety of techniques can be used and combined, such as bas-relief, quilling, mosaic, painting on fondant, royal icing, 2D modeling, etc. The 2D structure, including the base plate, must not exceed a depth of 5 cm (total height). Internal supports and wires are permitted; the use of molds is not permitted. For sugar floristry and flowers made from wafer paper, paper-covered floral wire, artificial stamens and cones/spheres, and florist's tape are permitted. You can present your exhibit lying down, on an easel, or similar. Base area: max. 40 x 40 cm. Dummies are not permitted.

  • Category K: Sweet Table, Theme: Baby Shower

A baby shower party is a special time to give love, support, and well-wishes to the expectant parents. It's a wonderful opportunity to share joy and build excitement for the baby. Three cookies, three cake pops, and three cupcakes are required, each expressing the theme. These do not have to be identical (but may be). Any items used to present the sweet table do not have to be edible. However, please be aware that edible decorations are of higher quality. Please note that the overall presentation of your exhibit will be considered. Internal supports and the use of molds are not permitted. Maximum floor space: 30 x 30 cm.

  • Category L: Sugar floristry, Theme: freely selectable

At least five open blossoms of flowers and plants of your choice, along with matching buds and foliage, must be presented. All flower pastes, as well as bean, rice, or tapioca pastes and flexible pastes approved in Germany/Europe, are permitted. Paper-covered floral wire, artificial stamens and cones/balls, florist's tape, and natural fibers such as coconut or hemp fiber are permitted. All flowers and plants displayed must be identified by their botanical name on the description card next to the exhibit. Any container made of non-edible material is permitted for presentation, provided the floral foam is not visible. Please note that the overall impression of the presentation of your exhibit will be considered in the evaluation. Maximum floor space: 40 x 40 cm.
